SVCET - Research & Development Cell in association with the Department of Bio Medical Engineering (BME) inaugurated a Student Chapter of Bio Medical Engineering Society of India (BMESI) on 25^th July 2024

Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology focuses on providing a quality education by actively engaging the student community in the Professional Bodies/Societies, through which they develop their technical skills to focus on their real career growth and building network among engineering professionals. With the guidance of our Management team, Research & Development (R&D) Cellin association with the Department of Bio Medical Engineering (BME) organized the inauguration ceremony of Student Chapter of Bio Medical Engineering Society of India (BMESI) on 25^th July 2024. The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Muralidhar Bairy, Secretary, BMESI and Additional Professor of Dept. of Bio Medical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal inaugurated the Student Chapter of BMESI, handed over the Institutional Membership Certificate to the Head of the Institution, Dr. S. Pradeep Devaneyan and declared the office bearers of the Student Chapter.The other dignitaries Dr.K.B.Jayarraman, Vice Principal, Dr.G.Amuthavalli, Head-Research & Development and Mr.S.Balaji, HoD(I/C)-Department of BME were graced the occasion.  The chief guest delivered the inaugural address in which the activities conducted by all the other member institutions from all over India was evidently shown and explained the roles and responsibilities of the student chapter. Also, he delivered a technical session on “Harnessing Smart Technology for the Detection of Heart Rate”, which was very informative to the students of BME. The students of Department of BME understood the significance of BMESI and its student chapter in the development of their technical career path. The R&D team-Dr.N.Mythili, AP/S&H, Mr.P.Meganathan, AP/EEE, Mr.Karthikeyan, AP/MECH and Mrs. Sowmiya, AP/BMEin coordination with all the faculty members of Dept. of BME successfully organized the event.
